Jane Heath and Alan Cotton, founders of Growth KnowHow
Who we are

Meet Jane & Alan.

Between us, we've spent three decades building, training and growing commercial teams. We founded one of the first go-to-market agencies in the UK, and have trained and developed sales, communication, management and agency account management skills - both inside our own business and externally for a wide range of clients.

That experience spans the agency sector as well as small, medium and large enterprise businesses - so the training is grounded in what actually works commercially, not in theory.

And it doesn’t end when the workshop does. Alongside the sessions themselves, we mentor and manage teams - with follow-up check-ins and ongoing support that keep leaders and individuals developing long after the room clears.

Why us

Learning that’s built around your business - not theory.

We turn the real conversations your team has every day into confidence, skill, and measurable commercial results.

Most training is generic, theory-led, and forgotten by the following week. Ours is the opposite: pragmatic, interactive, and built entirely around your business, your people, and the challenges they actually face every day.

Ahead of every programme we spend dedicated one-to-one time with each participant to understand their individual challenges, confidence gaps, and performance blockers. That means the session is focused on the things that genuinely move the needle - not a checklist of slides.

The format is deliberately non-classroom: a high-energy mix of trainer-led input, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, real-world analysis, exercises, games and immediate feedback. A closing ‘what we learnt today’ session reinforces the key takeaways so new skills actually stick.

And to make sure everyone gets the time and attention they need, we cap every session at six participants - so the learning stays personal, honest, and commercially focused.
